Tuesday Tour of Excel – IT and Web Development
Meet Larry Van Den Berg, IT Manager and Web Developer Extraordinaire. For today’s tour, we’re taking a peek inside our server room, where he and his team are responsible for all of Excel’s IT, database and web administration. But apart from keeping our IT running smoothly, the other half of Larry’s role at Excel is the development and management of over 1,000 external web site customers through Excel’s Service-Life and Homeschool-Life web divisions. Containing close to 65,000+ users, these sites are located all over the U.S., Canada, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Trinidad. Over 1 million emails are processed each week for these membership websites, and on average we add a new web site every 3 days. Interested in web building tools and our CMS services? Visit http://service-life.com/ or email Larry directly at larry.v@excelengineer.com.

Tuesday Tour of Excel – The Gallery
Today’s tour takes a look at the Gallery, our hub here at Excel. The gallery is a place for employees to grab coffee, take a break for lunch, shoot a game of pool or catch up with their coworkers. It also serves as the perfect setting for informal meetings, company events and friendly gatherings. This room was one of the highlights of our renovation last year, and we’re excited about what it offers our employees!
